Art Placements
CVA has sponsored, commissioned, and placed numerous public artworks throughout Cary. Public art benefits cultural tourism, quality of life, and economic development.
Each work of public art placed in Cary undergoes numerous approvals and many opportunities for community feedback. The CVA Discovery committee first investigates a particular site and various works of art. Once a selection is made, the CVA Board of Directors reviews the Discovery committee's recommendation. If the Board of Directors approves the site and work of art, the project then goes before the Town of Cary's Public Art Advisory Board and may also be reviewed by other entities within the Town of Cary. Once the approval process is completed, CVA works with the artist in placing the work of art in Cary. Permanent placements are generally donated to the Town of Cary once installed.
