Anyone is welcome to join Cary Visual Art as a volunteer. There are several committees to choose from, depending on one's interests and background. Our current volunteers include artists and non-artists alike, small business owners, homemakers, retirees, and active professionals.

Our core committees, which meet on a regular basis, are: Discovery Committee, CVA Ambassador Committee, and the Art Ball Committee. These focus on art placements and artist selection; education and public relations; and fundraising, respectively.

Periodically, volunteers form subcommittees to focus on specific projects. These committees tend to meet for a limited time period, related to the project in question. Recently, the Black Creek Greenway subcommittee interviewed candidates for the related public art project, thereby having a direct influence on a new art project in Cary.
