Mission: Promote, inspire, encourage, and support visual art for uplifting the human spirit in
the Cary community.
Goal:
Develop and ensure the resources necessary to conduct public programs and art installations in Cary.
Objectives
1: Enhance Public Education, Awareness and Support for Public Art in Cary

3: Develop a CVA Membership/Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Program
4: Diversify and Increase/Enhance CVA Revenue Streams
Objective 1: Enhance Public Education, Awareness and Support for Public Art in Cary
Strategies:
A. Create a flexible document outlining CVA’s vision and policies.
B. Identify a PR Firm
C. Develop a CVA marketing plan to promote CVA
D. Develop collateral materials to support the Annual Campaign
E. Create an informational and educational brochure about CVA and public art.
F. Enhance and implement programs for new and existing audiences to experience public art.
Objective 2: Implement Public Art Projects in Cary
Strategies:
A. Develop a system for evaluating, prioritizing, and implementing new projects and partnerships.
B. Develop a system to assure balance and diversity of public art in CVA projects.
C. Develop opportunities for new and existing audiences to experience public art.
D. Encourage and promote public art installations throughout the community.
E. Incorporate opportunities for public engagement and artist interaction with the community.
Objective 3: Develop a CVA Membership/Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Program
Strategies:
A. Develop and clearly articulate committee roles and volunteer opportunities.
B. Continue providing opportunities for volunteers to expand their knowledge of CVA and the public art process.
C. Develop and implement volunteer appreciation initiatives.
D. Identify leadership roles and cultivate new volunteers.
E. Increase membership revenue.
Objective 4: Diversify and Increase/Enhance CVA Revenue Streams
Strategies:
A. Determine and implement alternative fund raising events and strategies.
B. Increase the net income from the Art Ball.
C. Increase corporate contributions.
D. Develop a menu of fee-based services as a potential revenue source.
E. Continue developing relationships with granting agencies.
F. Advocate for increased municipal support from the Town of Cary.
