Cary Visual Arts, Inc.
Interim VIII, 1999, by Bruce Niemi Programs

CVA commissions artists to create public artworks for placement in Cary and inclusion in the Town of Cary's art collection. CVA also provides temporary exhibitions of public art in Cary to educate the community about a variety of styles and media.

The Public Art in Focus Lecture Series features nationally-recognized artists and administrators speaking about current trends and approaches in public art. This series consists of four lectures each year and is free and open to the public.

Our artist residency program engages artists and community members in the process of creating public art. The purpose of the program is to promote public art as a vehicle for exploring community identity, contemporary issues, and the creative process.

CVA strives to promote art appreciation through presentations to community groups about the cultural and economic benefits of public art and the growing Town of Cary collection.

CVA also offers art consulting services to private developers and individuals interested in purchasing public art.

As a means to engage children, CVA has created activities for kids. Children are educated on public art while having fun.
